Coach Mike Craigen radio show, 7:30pm on Monday, January 18th!

Coach Craigen led the 2014-2015 Ice Bears to the SPHL Championship!  What a great year and a great team.  We are pleased to have Coach Craigen’s radio show at the Casual Pint Northshore at 7:30pm on Monday, January 18th.  Come by and enjoy the show and some great craft beer.  We will also have a fun give-away at the end of the show for anyone who purchased one of our great craft beers.

After a 5 year playing career that consisted of 101 goals, 250 points, 1139 penalty minutes and 2 SPHL championships with the Ice Bears, Mike Craigen returned in 2010 as the youngest head coach in professional hockey. Now 31 years old, Craigen has guided the Ice Bears to a 103-67-13 record and a .605 winning percentage leading into what is now his 4th season behind the bench.

Born in Canada and raised in the small town of Buckhorn, Ontario, Mike is the oldest son of Rob and Debbie and brother of Emily Craigen. A year-round resident of Knoxville and lifelong Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs fan, Mike lives with his faithful Chihuahuas and loyal Ice Bear fans ‘Wyatt’ and ‘Butt-Man’.

Known for his work in and around the community of Knoxville during his playing days, Craigen will rely on strong player relationships and accountability to continue the outstanding tradition set before him by the brand of the Knoxville Ice Bears as he tries to chase down his second consecutive championship in the 15-16 season.
