Welcome Home: Why The Casual Pint Feels Like Your Favorite Hangout Spot
May 8, 2025If you’ve ever stopped by The Casual Pint Northshore and felt like you were right at home — that’s no accident. That friendly, laid-back vibe is thanks to the family behind the bar: siblings Josh Robinette and Lindsey Davis, and Lindsey’s husband, Troy Davis. Together, this trio isn’t just running your neighborhood spot — they’re proud franchise owners of The Casual Pint brand, which includes 18 (soon to be 19!) locations nationwide.
Their journey into the world of craft beer started all the way back in 2011 with a big dream: to create a place where the beer was cold, the people were friendly, and no one raised an eyebrow if you paired an IPA with a slice of key lime pie. 🍺🥧 Fueled by passion (and maybe a little curiosity about just how hard it could be), they dove in — and The Casual Pint was born.
Over the years, their love for beer and community only grew. So did their vision. That’s how the Northshore location came to life — part neighborhood hangout, part “Beerstro” where snacks, suds, and spreadsheets collide in the best possible way. It’s a place where you’ll find local beers on tap, warm hospitality, and maybe even a side of bourbon bacon jam.
What sets this crew apart isn’t just their deep roots in the Knoxville community — it’s their commitment to creating a place that feels like family. Lindsey puts it best: “You can grab a beer anywhere, but not everywhere makes you feel like you belong. That’s what we’re all about.”
Whether they’re hosting Dine to Donate nights for local nonprofits, cheering on youth sports teams, spotlighting local breweries through their Curators of the Craft series, or raising a glass for a good cause, Josh, Lindsey, and Troy are constantly finding ways to give back. Some of the causes closest to their hearts include Irreverent Warriors, Peace of Mind at Home, and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Knoxville — organizations doing incredible work for veterans, families facing cancer, and children in need.
When they’re not behind the bar, you’ll probably find them outdoors — biking Knoxville’s greenways, paddleboarding, brewery hopping, or simply unwinding in a hammock with a good book. And yes, they still argue (lovingly) over the best beer and burger pairing. (For Lindsey, it’s a no-cheese cheeseburger, sidewinders, and a glass of red wine. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it!)
At the end of the day, The Casual Pint Northshore is about more than just what’s on tap. It’s about people. It’s about community. It’s about crafting a moment you’ll want to come back to again and again.
So next time you’re in the neighborhood, swing by. Say hey. Raise a glass. And know you’re part of the story, too.
Cheers from the Northshore crew — we’re glad you’re here. 🍻
